Attorney General Dana Nessel Endorses Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate

DETROIT, MI – Today, Attorney General Dana Nessel endorsed Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate. In her endorsement, she recognized Haley being a seasoned fighter who knows how to get policies through the finish line. 

“Representative Haley Stevens is a seasoned fighter for Michigan who knows how to work in a difficult environment to get essential policies across the finish line. She has the proven ability to work with members in DC and in our local communities to create laws that enhance the lives of everyday Michiganders,” said Attorney General Dana Nessel. “Haley is wicked smart, has won multiple highly competitive races, and she connects with people on a level so sincere and genuine that everyone who meets her feels truly seen and heard. When I speak with residents in her district, I hear the stories of Haley’s quick, determined and decisive actions to help their communities solve problems… Haley cares deeply about the needs of her constituents. I have every confidence Haley Stevens will do what she’s done many times before—serve Michigan with gusto, strength, and distinction.”

So far, Haley has been endorsed by the Michigan Teamsters Local 299, Michigan Laborers District Council, International Union of Painters And Allied Trades, Operating Engineers 324, SMART Local 292, Boilermakers Local 169, Sheet Metal Workers Local 80, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 2, Plumbers Local 98, IronWorkers Local 25, Teamsters Local 243, UNITE HERE Local 24, Michigan Machinists Council, and Pipefitters, Steamfitters, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service Local Union 636

She has been endorsed by former Governor Jennifer Granholm, U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, and community leader Colleen Ochoa Peters, in addition to former Rep. Brenda Lawrence and a slate of Congressional Black Caucus Members.
