DETROIT, MI – Today, the Michigan Machinists Council, representing more than 2,000 skilled tradesworkers across the state, announced its endorsement of Congresswoman Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate. In their endorsement, the Machinists Council highlighted Haley’s relentless commitment to the working class.

“Congresswoman Haley Stevens has been a relentless advocate for the Sisters and Brothers in manufacturing,” said the Michigan Machinists Council. “She understands the dedication and craftsmanship that go into every project. Haley has been a champion for organized labor during her time in Congress, leading the charge to protect workers across the country, supporting the right to organize, and fighting for good wages and benefits. Our members know she stands up for the working class, and we are proud to support her campaign for the United States Senate.”

“The workers of the Michigan Machinists Council are essential to building our state’s infrastructure and keeping Michigan’s economy strong,” said Congresswoman Haley Stevens. “I am honored to earn their support and will continue fighting for safer job sites, stronger collective bargaining rights, and more good-paying union jobs that grow Michigan’s middle class. I am proud to stand with the Michigan Machinists Council as we work together to build a stronger future for Michigan’s workers.”

Haley continues to build the infrastructure to win statewide in Michigan and gain momentum. She is the only candidate in this race with the endorsement of multiple labor unions. Haley’s strength comes from her relentless focus on protecting and growing Michigan manufacturing, fighting Trump’s reckless tariffs that undermine Michigan industries and jobs while increasing costs, and working to make groceries and health care more affordable for Michiganders. Haley was named the most effective Democratic member of Congress from Michigan and the most effective Democrat in the entire Congress on technology issues. She’ll continue that record of winning for Michigan to the U.S. Senate.
