Michigan Mayors: “Haley Stevens Fights For Michigan and Wins For Michigan, Which Is Why She Has Our Support To Be Michigan’s Next Senator”

DETROIT, MI
– Today, the Mayors of Farmington Hills, Lathrup Village, Livonia, the City of Northville, Huntington Woods, Farmington, Oak Park, Inkster, Harper Woods, Ecorse, and Plymouth announced they are supporting Haley Stevens for Senate, citing her responsiveness to their communities’ needs and her track record fighting to lower costs, strengthening our state’s economy, and delivering for Michigan.

“Michigan is home to the best mayors in the country, and I’m proud to announce that this dedicated slate of metro Detroit mayors is backing my campaign for Senate,” said Congresswoman Haley Stevens. “I’ve spent my career fighting for Michigan and I look forward to working alongside these mayors in the Senate to lower costs, create jobs, and make sure every Michigander can succeed.”

Haley continues to gain momentum in this race and has been endorsed by Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, Lansing Mayor Andy Schor, Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand, Former MI Governor Jim Blanchard, UNITE Here Local 24, and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi.

Polling has shown Haley is the “only Democrat leading” Republican candidates and importantly, the candidate with the strongest backing of independent voters in the general election.
