DETROIT, MI – Today, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 2 of Michigan (BAC Local 2), representing more than 3,700 skilled tradesworkers across the state, announced its endorsement of Congresswoman Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate. In their endorsement, BAC Local 2 highlighted Congresswoman Stevens’ consistent advocacy for strong labor standards, quality apprenticeship training, and policies that protect the dignity and safety of Michigan’s skilled workforce.
“Congresswoman Haley Stevens has been a steadfast advocate for the men and women of the trowel trades,” said Brett Gierak, President of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 2 of Michigan. “She understands the craftsmanship, dedication, and professionalism our members bring to every project. Haley has championed investments in workforce development, fought to protect fair wages and benefits, and stood with unions to strengthen collective bargaining rights. Our members know she shows up for working people, and we are proud to support her campaign for the United States Senate.”
