Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union Endorses Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate

DETROIT, MI – Today, the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union endorsed Haley Stevens in her run for U.S. Senate. In their endorsement, they cited Haley’s relentless fight to stand up for union jobs, support public safety, and deliver for the people of Michigan.

She stands up for union jobs, and gets real results for the men and women who keep Michigan running,” said Matthew Sahr, Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union President. “We need a leader in the Senate who will fight and deliver results for Michigan workers, and that’s Haley Stevens. So far, Haley has been endorsed by the Northern Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters, Michigan Teamsters Joint Council 43, Michigan Teamsters Local 299, Michigan Laborers District Council, International Union of Painters And Allied Trades, Operating Engineers 324, SMART Local 292, Boilermakers Local 169, Sheet Metal Workers Local 80, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 2, Plumbers Local 98, IronWorkers Local 25, Teamsters Local 243, UNITE HERE Local 24, Michigan Machinists Council, and Pipefitters, Steamfitters, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service Local Union 636.
She has been endorsed by former Governor Jennifer Granholm, U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and community leader Colleen Ochoa Peters, in addition to former Rep. Brenda Lawrence and a slate of Congressional Black Caucus Members.
