Lansing Mayor Andy Schor Endorses Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate

5/28/2025

LANSING, MI – Today, the Mayor of Lansing Andy Schor endorsed Haley Stevens to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate, citing her track record fighting for Michigan’s manufacturing economy and her promise to stand up to the Trump-Musk chaos agenda.

“I am proud to endorse Haley Stevens because she has a track record of getting things done for her district, and I look forward to seeing those results for all of Michigan,” said Mayor Schor. “Haley will be a fierce advocate for our residents in Lansing and for the rest of our state. She personifies our values, and there is no one better to represent us in the US Senate. Gary Peters is my mentor and I learned so much from him, and there is no better person to take his seat and continue his legacy than Haley Stevens. She will stand up for Michigan in fighting against dangerous policies that are being pushed in the Senate right now, including policies that will increase costs for everything from groceries to cars. We are a proud automotive and manufacturing town, and we are an affordable community.  Haley Stevens is the best person to partner with Sen. Slotkin to fight for Lansing and Michigan in the US Senate. Haley has made it clear she’s the best person to represent Michiganders in the Senate, and I offer my strongest endorsement of her. I will do all I can here in Lansing and our region to share her accomplishments and her plans to help us grow and thrive!”

“I am grateful to have Mayor Schor’s support in this race,” said Congresswoman Haley Stevens. “When I think of Michigan values like resiliency, grit, and pride in hard work, I think of growing, vibrant communities like Lansing. In the Senate, I will continue fighting for those values and all Michiganders by standing up to Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s chaos agenda, lowering costs, and protecting and growing our manufacturing economy.”

Haley has also been endorsed by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, and Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand.
